Game Plugs

Does the guitar hero III game need a receiver that plugs into the front of PlayStation????

I just bought the new guitar hero III combo for PS2 off of ebay which includes the game and the guitar. And what I wanna know is does the guitar need a receiver that plugs into the front of the playstation?? Because it did not come with no receiver and if I don't need a receiver how do I get the game to work...

1. yeah it needs a receiver. man you got juked. im not sure if you can buy the receiver by itself or not. you may have to buy a new guitar.
