Your top 5 arcade games as a kid?

I grew up in the 80s playing video games at all the pizza places and just curious what everyones top 5 arcade games would be? Mine would be... (in this order) -Cyberball -Gauntlet -Rampage -Phoenix -Paperboy If you want to play them again... you can do a search on "cyberball rom" or whatever game you want, then the word "rom" in a google search. You should find several websites offering the ZIP files to play these games. You'll also need a MAME arcade game emulator. I get everything at romnation.net but theres plenty of other websites out there with emulators and roms for the games. I might even put Track & Field above Paperboy! Can I also add in Kung Fu Master was also another fave!

  1. Oh I am gonna date myself here. Dig Dug Missle Command Asteroids Tank Commando There was a dogfighting game that would be considered primitive graphics by todays standards, but I was the best in the whole bowling alley and spent hundreds of dollars making sure that my initials were always the top 5 posted.
  2. after burner galaga dig dug mario donkey kong
  3. Fun question! Beginning in 1981, I used to ride my bike 2 miles to the first video arcade in town. From there, video games spread to movie theater lobbies, 7-Elevens, restaurants, and my dorm lobby. In approximate order of how many quarters I plugged into the slots over the years: Galaga Ms. Pac-Man Centipede Pengo Turbo Honorable mention to Frogger. It was tough to decide whether to include it or Turbo.
  4. Im 25 years old and my list would be: 1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2. Die Hard 2-player light gun game 3. Crus'n World 4. Ms. Pac Man 5. Police Training Game (not sure of name) 2-player light gun
  5. Oh yea the good old days, I'm going with: Orbit race Star castle Dig Dug Mr Do Pole Position MAME is great altho I recommend that people do a search for MAME32 because its windows based and you don't have to learn command line to play it. Additionally MAME offers many games from the first arcade games all the way up to games just a few years old. MAME keeps growing with additions about every month, Keeping the memory alive.....
