Whats the best free Trading Card Game to play online?

I recently played Monster Master, an addictive trading card flash game online, which is free, simple, and really fun. I was wondering if there are any others, because Monster Master leaves you only with like 100 cards to choose from

1. Their is a program you can download where you can play people over the web of the Magic the Gathering card game. I'm not sure about how legal it is.
