Nintendo 64 transfer pak for game boy games how do i use it?

How do i use the transfer pak for the nintendo 64 to play gameboy games. I know the pak plugs into the controller and the gameboy game plugs into the pak. Am I missing something? We turn it on and nothing happens. Thanks I know how to plug that game in properly it only goes one way. So if the game is in correctly and the pak is in the controller correctly I don't need anything else to play the games?

1. You should try to insert the gba game correctly, the gama should be able to play as long it is a real thing.
