Game Plugs

How can I get my IM to show the game board when I click on a plug in game BECUASE IT DOES NOT SHOW ON SCREEN?

I used to be able to play games with my friends in yahoo messenger by clicking on a game plug in or the dice at the top of the messenger window. Now when I invite a friend to join, he can see the game board but all I see is a little red ex in the corner of the window where the gameboard should be. Please help me someone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
