Is there an adapter that I can connect a game cube to a monitor?

Can our plug n play games, (vsmile and game cube) be connected to the computer monitor vs a tv. My computer monitor is an older one and does not have the hookups in the back to connect directly. If there is an adapter, what is it called?

1. VDigi Electronics makes an adapter called the VD-Z3 that will let you hook up XBOX, GameCube, PS2, and others to a computer monitor. The price is a bit steep (in my opinion) but I've seen them and they do work. 2. The other answer provided a device where you just do what you asked but does your monitor have built in speakers? If not, then what's the enjoyment of playing a game with just video and no audio?
