What is the best place to play online games for free with others?

I work night shift, so on my nights off I stay up late so I don't mess up my schedule. I am often sitting around bored or trying to watch movies over and over. Are there any good sites to play games with others for free? I am trying to find games other than the usual poker stuff. Maybe even like a trivia with others or a board game. Any thoughts?
