can someone please tell me some good free online strategy or war games?

just bored of runescape and cant afford world of warcraft. anyone have any good ideas for free online games?? or games kind of like ikariam but have more in them. as when you attack the cuty you see it done or something?? i wanna blow some things up. maybe a game liek halo. anyone know of any? please give links.
