What is the best games for a first-time gamer?

I want to be gamer and this is my first time. I got GameCube Nintendo. I like sports, racing, shooting, and classic arcade games. I don't want something that is too hard.

3. pokemon. it's mainly strategy, but it was my first ever game and now i'm a professional after 4 years. ntm my sis and bro showed me how to play when they'd never even played it themselves.
4. buy resident evil 4 to me is the best gamecube game ever and i think it the only one that actually won a award for a gamecube game
5. Well since your a first time gamer, I DO NOT suggest World of Warcraft. That's PC anyway. You have to pay for it ever month, and is very in depth. I would start with Mario Kart Double Dash. That's a racing game, and is a good game that isn't too hard. Also, try Tetris Worlds, or whatever other version is on that system. You can never go wrong with Tetris.
6. Fighting: Super Smash Bro's Melee Action/Adventure: Zelda Series. First Person Shooter: Metroid Prime, Resident Evil 4 Racing: Mario Kart, Need for Speed Most Wanted Sports: idk, there the Tony Hawks, the Madden NFl, NBA, NBA Street. Not sure about the classic's. They proboly have a collection or something.
