xbox controller moves itself in game i plug in my xbox hip gear controller but controller moves itself in game

like when i play nba 2k5 the player will move by itself or on true crime nyc the controller analog starts going crazy and i blew out dust nothin works

1. my guess is that your analog stick is probably sticking to a side, from the sound of your question. Depending on how bad the stick is, sometime it helps if you simply push the stick all the way against the side, as far as you can, while using a little pressure downwards, and then just jiggle it around in a circle around the outside. If its really bad, then just get a new controller, because your analog is busted.
