How many girls pretend to be a boy while playing online games?

Is it weird for a girl to pretend to be a boy in online games or it is just normal. I sometimes like to choose a boy character in online games cause a boy character looks much more cooler than a girl's character.

Women have been posing as men, and men have been posing as women as long as there's been an Internet. They all have their own reasons.
I'm going to guess quite a lot, because lets face it - you get less hassle this way :) Theres probably more boys pretending to be girls, though

I think it's normal. I see girls playing boy characters and guys playing girl characters all the time. Sometimes people just get tired of having the same looking character or clothes all the time. Personally, I usually stick with male characters in games unless they look stupid. I think it's more boys being girls in games though. G.I.R.L.s - Guys In Real Life. (lol)
It seems many guys do the opposite, so I think its fairly normal. I say do what you want and have fun. Thats why its a game.

Hm, It's usually the other way around! Lot's of guys chose girl characters, so I guess it's normal for anyone. Just do whatever makes you happy :P

It's common. What is more common is for a guy to assume a female persona and take a female role. Guy players tend to give a lot more leeway to female characters . . .
I know a lot of people that choose to play the opposite gender on MMOs. It's actually fairly common, for both males and females.

No big deal. I used to play Tomb Raider when I was younger and I'm a guy. And sometimes would create girl characters on Tony Hawk. Just to do it.
lol like in rainbow 6 ;) the girls in that just look weird. yeh i do. like i hav an account on the ps3 that makes it obvious that im a girl. that was my first account (not on purpose it just so happened to hav 'chick' in it) so i made another neutral account just because some guys can be right ASS HOLES!! they try chat u up and stuff. but yeh so i think its normal to pretnd ur a guy once in a while. =)

I did that once when I was younger just for lolz, but I prefer to play as a girl character. But if you think the guy characters look cooler, than that's perfectly fine if you ask me. I know a lot of guys who like to play as female characters. That's why it's a role-playing game, you can play the role of anyone you want.
