When is the game that lets you play a real guitar coming out, or is it out?

I've seen videos for a game that let's you plug up your real guitar to a PC or gaming console and tune it and play like guitar hero, only better. Anyone know when this is coming out, or where I can get it? http://gizmodo.com/352800/guitar-rising-for-real-guitar-heroes Here is proof that they are working on something at least.

1. I don't think it exists. Or ever will exist.
2. I'm not sure where you can get them but they are guitar that just plus in via USB and are used more to teach how to play the guitar rather than a game. Some even have a light up fret board so you know where to put your fingers.
3. Looks great but definitely isn't out yet. The technology required to actually figure out from a real guitar which notes are being played and doing it quickly will be extremely hard to develop and then buying the game will cost a heap. I doubt it would even work that well because you would have to have your guitar tuned perfectly or it wouldn't register properly. It will have a bit of lenience but the thought of making that software is very daunting.
