I DOWNLOADED JAVA BUT CAN'T GET THE GAMES TO OPEN. i.e.POGO, BLUBET AND yAHOO FREE GAMES?

Java was successfully downloaded but pop -up blockers will not allow me to play or see any of the games on Pogo, BluBet and Yahoo Free Games. Why? I'm using Windows Home V ista
