Am I a jaded Single Player FPS Gamer. What can I do?

I recently Purchased Fear 2 and STALKER. Now I found the combat in those games Repetitive,unexciting and uninspired. Though I still enjoy Online FPS games. Im looking at Bioshock. Though Im worried I wont enjoy it, i still like Single player games though. I love Dead Space and RTS games. What can I do? try more arcade like genres? like Devil May Cry 4? I have always liked FPS games. But I think Im becoming abit jaded, Or did others find those games boring too? Thanks Nick

1. I had the first FEAR and didn't get the second one, because after a while the first one was boring also. I get where you're coming from. There needs to be more variety in these games. It's why I used to play Tomb Raider, because it wasn't always shooting, there were puzzles and it was challenging. I haven't gotten Bioshock, I had the same worrries. You could try online multiplayer versions of those games, you might find the challenge of working with other players to be just the thing to break the monotony.
2. Bioshock is an AMAZING game. I'd say pick that up most definitely. I thought FEAR was repetitive, too.
