Game Plugs

Why does the Nintendo Wii shut down when I plug in a Nintendo game cube controler? Game cube disk does run.?

Wii works with Wii games and controler, Game cube disk runs as long as I have no game cube controler pluged in. As soon as I plug in controler Wii shuts down completely and will not reastart or do anything, only way I can turn it on again is to unplug the power supply and plug it back in then turn it off.

1. Try putting in the controller before turning the wii on. I had a similar problem with my xbox. My Xbox froze when i put in a controller, or took one out. I hope this helps!
