Are the arcade games on cruise ships free?

I am going on my first cruise (Carnival Spirit) and my children will certainly be visiting the arcade. I was wondering if they are free or if you end up spending a fortune on tokens. (Either way there is no way we'll make it through 8 days without visiting LOL)

  1. Normally they are not free but there may be times that the various kid groups use them free. I am not sure about that. Tokens are available at a machine using your S&S card. There is a $50 a day limit for adults and $20 for children under 18. The limits can be changed at the purser's desk. ₪ ɦəlʞɹɐq ₪
  2. No, the arcade games are not free. You can use your sail and sign cards to get token....as I recall, 4 tokens = $1.00 but most of the games take 2x or 4x tokens.
  3. There not free. Theres a limit also on how much you can get, on carnival lines, i know its 20 for children, not sure for adults. You use your sign and sail card and stick it in a token machine, (or cash on carnival.) Your kids wont be able to buy tokens if you don't say when you first get on, they have sail and sign privilege. The games are ok, mostly things like: shooting games, car games, ect. depending on age, sometimes the Camp carniva/Circle C, takes the kids to the arcade, and select games are free.
  4. No, they aren't free
