Can my computer pick up a virus from pogo.com's website for playing free games?

My computer is in the shop now getting repaired and either has a virus on its hard drive or on the software...don't know yet. But was told virus may be from free computer downloads? If yes, how can I safely play games without this risk? Thanks! I have Trend Microsecurity software on my computer.

1. Your computer is always at risk when connected to the internet. If you haven't already, you might want to purchase an anti-virus program or AT LEAST get a good free one like Avast or AVG. Some good sites that have free games that don't require downloading are: Funorb.com Xgenstudios.com Runescape.com (MMORPG)
