will a plug and play tv game work on a portable dvd player?

my portable dvd player has red white and yellow sockets and the plug and play game has yellow and white plugs will it work?

The yellow plug (video) connects to the yellow socket on the portable DVD player, and the white plug (audio) can be connected to either the white (left channel audio) or red (right channel audio) input of the portable DVD player. My grandson plays plug and play TV games on his portable DVD player whenever we travel.
