Game Plugs

Is the power cord w/ the 3 colored plugs for a super nintendo universal?

I got a super nintendo and the plug that goes from the console to the back of the TV with a red, white and yellow plug broke. (The yellow one broke off inside the TV) Is this plug universal? Do all game consoles (like game cube, x box..) use the same thing or should i buy a new one just for super nintendo??

  1. The 3 plug cord you're talking about is called Composite Audio Video cables. It connects to the Multi Out port on the Super Nintendo and the composite audio video inputs on the TV. The yellow cable is for video and the red and white are for stereo audio. This plug works with Game Cubes, Super Nintendos and Nintendo 64s. You can also use an RF switch to hook your Super Nintendo to your TV connecting the antenna port on your TV and the RF out on your Super Nintendo. You can probably find generic audio video cables that are universal. I know I've seen some mad catz brand ones before. Those cables just have hook ups on them that attach to every system.
