high quality animation?

im 15 and ive never done any type of computer animation whatsoever. i am very good at drawing. i have a Windows XP Home Edition. i am obsessed (lol) with Kingdom Hearts, well i just really like the game. im not a computer geek, but i want to make animations. i want them to have the quality of Kingdom Hearts Intro Vids. i have a lot of time on my hands so i think i could make one. i need to know what sofware ill need. and the cost. and if anyone knows where i can get the software free that would be also very helpful lol. i also have another question. ive seen other peoples "Paint" program on thier computer, and they have a much better one than i do. they have a larger range of color and more tools. im wondering if i could upgrade the one on my computer. again, i have a Windows XP Home Edition. so if anyone knows how to do that, if you could tell me, i would be very thankful. i have OCD so my animation would probably have to be perfect before i finish, if any of you people are expert animators you proably know how long it would take you to make such a high quality animation, how long do you think it would take me? so my question are: WHAT SOFWARE? COST? CAN I GET IT FREE? FREE ONLINE LESSONS? HOW LONG? HOW TO UPGRADE "PAINT"? COST FOR THAT? CAN I GET THAT FREE? oh and, cure for OCD, just kidding :) if anyone can help me with any of my questions that would be great VERY THANKFUL, Justus A. :)
