What are some online free games simliar to this?

I guess I'm looking for something like imvu but most people on it are only wanting sex-whats something that is free, online and where you can chat and such with people. I say a game but maybe something simliar like a sims online but the people are real people on the other side-and yes free. Its probably difficult for anyone to understand but I'm trying. THanks!
