I'm 21, single never had a date. I'm a big girl, I'm no Barbie doll or anything like that. I'm starting to think maybe that's my problem. here's me Appearance: "5,8" Golden blonde hair to my butt Gold Eyes I have a sense of humor and I know how to use it ;) I'm fat I know, but is being skinny all that matters anymore? I'm a college student :D I'm a junior in college my major is Game Art and Design. I dress like a lady. I wear blue jeans too but mostly I wear dress pants and a figure flattering blouse, I take care of myself and wear perfume. But I know when to be one of the guys too. I like the outdoors and I like hanging out with freinds. But I'm always overlooked or I become one of the boys. I'm at a loss can anyone help?

  1. perhaps try a dating site? Don't be in a rush to find someone and just settle, never settle. If it's meant to be it will happen. I met my boyfriend in a very unlikely place. Now i have a cute story to tell my kids about how i met my husband online lol. That is whenever i get married and have kids
  2. Two points: Ya can't hurry love Take the lead...
  3. ALL I CAN TELL YOU ..IS JOIN THE SAME CROWD ..I FEEL THE SAME WAY ABOUT FEMALES ..WHERE HAS ALL THE GOOD ONES GONE TOO?
  4. Nope, it's not just you.. theyre hard to find, but they are out there. Try joining a gym.. youre bound to meet someone there.. I meet a lot of guys at the car wash.. u could try that too if you have a car.
  5. if all else fails, go to europe. plenty of beaus waiting for women like you. its an incredible experience, and i promise, it'll be worth every cent
  6. Cut your hair....that is WAY too long. The longest I would ever go is a few inches past the bottom of the back of my bra, otherwise you just look like you can't afford a haircut. Try that and wear a little makeup. Oh and most importantly...SMILE :D
  7. <----im right here
  8. girl where i live i know several men that would rather have a well rounded woman. they say that they need loving too
  9. There are guys out there that find bigger women attractive, but they are in the minority. As long as you keep up your confidence you will attract someone eventually. But why not try to lose the weight? For your health? Take care of you before you take care of someone else.
  10. face it, men and women are shallow and Tv and Movies tell us what look good so we go after it. Lose weight. It can be healthier for you anyway.
  11. i personally don't think anything is wrong with u. maybe u should be the one to go to the guy and ask them out. what could it hurt. i personally like women so i might not be the most reliable source.
  12. hang in there, let it shine, keep the faith, there are good guys out there who appreciate a woman of substance don't give up on being who yu are, it sure beats trying to be somebody who's not, and don't settle for second best. like I said, let it shine and it'll happen
  13. men are pretty shallow when it comes to women- didnt you watch that dumbazz jessica simpson reality show? The chick could not think her way out of a paper bag and yet the guys all watched this stupid show.... ANd I love new york....Dont even get me started on that fake boob wearing hussie anywhoo, there is good news MAYBE you are looking in the wrong places for a man who will appreciate you for you. Before you go off to ponder that, is there a man someplace in your past or present that you have overlooked because he is 'too short' or too nerdy' ect. If so maybe you have overlooked YOUR prince charming
  14. Sweetheart,I have been divorced for over 15yrs & I am also heavy, but I have not had a date either! My skinny younger sister is also at a loss for male companionship. Yes,I believe all the good men are already snatched by bitchy women or they don't exist! Jesus's step dad was probably the last good one! I am 52 & my sis is 40.We are very put out with the male population in America!
  15. There are many who are manipulated by the society's status of hot and gorgeous, but they overlook inward beauty. Sure outward appearance may play a factor into a relationship, but it is overall that person inside of you waiting for that prince charming to sweep you off his feet. Trust he is there, all he needs is the right broom. You will find him, so be patient and do not be discouraged.
  16. i wish i'd let my hair grow instead of cutting it years ago...lucky you!! you sound like a great person, self-confident (which ridiculously scares some men, so don't lose that part of yourself) you'll find a guy when you least expect it. just be yourself :)
  17. Tall... long hair... funny...going to college for game art and design? Hell, I'll marry you!!! All the girls around here are stuck up. I don't know about other guys, but weight doesn't mean much to me. But everyone has their own opinion.
  18. try an online dateing site or church. your young, so dont rush it. and although you say your fat,,if someone realy cares about you and wants to be with you, they do it for who you are,and not what you look like. its whats on the inside that counts,,looks arent everyhting. hang in there and soon you will find that special someone.
  19. It is all about you I have been big and I have been small it really does not matter to some men its all about how you feel about yourself.I am sexy and I know it and that's all that really matters is how you feel about yourself.Stop looking for the right person to come into your life because they will soon come.Stay the same,I no longer wait on guys to ask me out if I think you are hot I am about to ask you for a date.
  20. with your major (i'm assuming by "game art and design" you're talking about computer games), you probably interact with a lot of men in school, so you have somewhat of a chance there. are any of your classmates interesting as romance subjects? i've had a lot of luck with men in the technology field. i'm a computer engineer. my best friend is a software design consultant and my dear ex husband is a help desk analyst. in my experience with guys in tech, they're really open to all kinds of people, because they themselves seem to be somewhat nerdy to some people (but not to me!) and they understand how it feels. they're really good people who will look at you for the great woman you are and not as a "fat" girl. if no one in your school is interesting, join the ACM and get involved with people from other schools and outside of school.
  21. dont take it too harshly on yourself....maybe you arent a great looker or anything but still you have your own self qualities.and, yes, guys want skinny, beautiful girls.im a guy.i admit it.i love beautiful and intelligent women.maybe you arent the most beautiful, but surely you have something somewhere that makes you attractive.maybe you do beautiful art,or even maybe you write beautiful stories.some guys DO find these attractive.so instead of being all moppy and sad,do what you do best and always be happy.=)
  22. Hi Usagi, There is a good guy out there for you somewhere. Be patient. Unfortunately the majority of men prefer a thinner or more athletic build. Focus more on yourself and less on finding the right guy. He’ll notice the beautiful you that’s inside when you’re on your game. Making some changes in your life to lose some weight will be beneficial to you in many many ways. Focus on making yourself healthy physically and emotionally and the right guy will notice. Life is Hell. Be strong and do what you have to do to survive. Good luck.
  23. all the good men went "poof"
  24. First of all, I know MANY guys who like a woman with a bit of meat on her bones! You just have to look past the shallow little boys you find around campus... I'm sure that you aren't "fat" just because you're tall. The only thing I can tell you sweetie is to just hang in there and wait for the right guy... And you NEVER know where you're going to meet him. I met my honey while working in a resturant in the middle of nowhere! To make things better, he's English. (I prefer the English as every English guy I've met has been the most honest, down to Earth, reliable person.) Don't think of it as that you've "never had a single date", but as that you are being saved so you can meet someone amazing!
  25. Hi, there! This is another age old issue - and it happens to us all. Simply bide your time; be patient. I know it's HARD, but most people do find their match - eventually. the key thing is to continue to participate in social activities - maybe one of those boys will suddenly see the light...you never know. i met my guy at age 48 (when he lied about his age - he was so interested in me, he didn't care that i am 12 (yikes) years older. good luck!!
  26. i guess you need to be lady like because sometimes it is a disadvantage when you are bigh and you make other guys feel your are one of the guys too. guys get a hard time picturing you as a girl friend material, you know if you are already big and you also act like your one of the boys. even if you wear a dress, wear perfume, wear a flattering blouse, your being big is perhaps making guys feel your are over powering them...(if that is the right term). so, again, i will say, you should be lady like. provocative, sensual, but innocenlty teasing....i dont know the best way to describe it but you sometimes need to tease guys with the way you dress up or move your body, without them thinking that you are seducing them like the way your cleavage is showing, or you toss your hair, or you wear your make up, or even the way you sit down or talk or smile or even wink.... i am saying this because i am a really big girl. i am only 5'6" and i weight like 190 pounds. so what i do is i trained myself to be lady like (even i was a bit of a tomboy as a kid), my hair is long and always staight and shiny, i always look my best, i know which part i should show some skin and all those stuff of discreetly seducing a guy,,,, that's the first part of getting a guy. now when all guys' head turn on you, then that is the time you collect and select the guy you like. i know my suggestion is somewhat lame and vain, but it worked for me. im getting married in a month. and i am happy cuz i got a really loving guy. he even motivates me to slim down and he never makes me feel insecure.he's become my best friend too because i dont have to be anyone or anything at all for him to love me...but it helped first that he was physically attracted or lured to me... and then fell in love with me afterwards when he realized i was more than just a big boobs, big butt, and a little flab on the stomach, and thighs. :D i hope this helps you. good luck!
  27. This is a bit of a conundrum, especially in todays society where almost everyone goes for the "thin is in" thing. However, bear in mind that there is a match for everyone regardless of size, race, color or creed. I really can't answer your question but can give you a few hints. 1. Never be one of the boys. Being one of the boys, they will treat you like a boy. You should emphasize your femininity and make sure they know you are a woman. 2. You may want to alter your social circle slightly and start going to places which attract a more mature crowd. Mature people tend to deal more with the spirit and soul rather than just the body. Younger men tend to go for the Paris Hilton lookalikes. 3. Go to a Beauty Salon and ask for tips on how to appear more feminine. Your hair may be beautiful and long but maybe it does not fit your face, etc. 4. You call yourself Fat, but give no idea of weight. At 5' 8", you could be elegantly tall and large without being fat. If you are fat however, you may consider going to the Gym not just to lose weight but to increase your muscle tone, Cardiovascular intake and muscularity as being overweight may cause health problems in later years. Do this for your own sake, not for anyone else. I know I have not given you a solution, but hope these tips help, and wish you all the best in life going forward.
  28. Hi .. Usagi, Its all about confidence, never be in a rush. I agree you need to be pretty if you want to get into guy's eye for the first time. So think how you can change yourself within what you have, try loosing weight. No pain No gain, set some goals. I do YOGA regularly and its one of the best way to make your self look beautiful and mentally healthy,i can help you teaching it if you need. Giving advice is easy but thought my answer would help.
  29. I happen to be one of those who prefer soft and cuddly to sharp and bony. But Ive been married for 30 great years. Wanna meet my grandson? 19 and useless!
